Mullica Hill, New Jersey — Dr. Sean Bidic, a leading plastic surgeon in South Jersey, delivered a donation to the poor during a trip to Vatican City, where he met with Pope Francis. The pope honored Dr. Bidic's request and blessed the surgeon and his hands for the operations he performs.

"Meeting with the Pope accompanied by my mother on her 70th birthday is truly one of the most memorable experiences of my life," Dr. Bidic says. "It was humbling, and I feel so fortunate to have had that opportunity."

Dr. Bidic founded American Surgical Arts, a plastic surgery practice in Mullica Hill, New Jersey, and is deeply involved in his community.

Dr. Bidic made the 2015 Vatican visit to make the contribution on behalf of the Mariano Foundation, a charitable group in which he's involved. This foundation is dedicated to serving the needs of underprivileged communities around the globe.
